Root unlock bootloader?

I have rooted my spectrum running zv9 but have been unsuccessful in unlocking the bootloader. I have spent many hours searching this and other sites. Can anyone help me?

Can you provide me a copy of the output from the script? A lot of times people confuse some of the error messages as it failed, when really, it just didn't find the files that could "possibly" be there. Quickest way to check if all went well is the ADB REBOOT RECOVERY command. If you get to CWM, you're in good shape. If it shows an android and then reboots, the unlock failed.

I tried; adb reboot bootloader, and it was like the phone just restarted.

okay, I tried; adb reboot recovery, and same thing.

@Neph81 ;

So I achieved unlocked bootloader; downloaded Icy Fusion and Gapps, rebooted into recovery via CWM, Wiped everything even factory reset, when I tried to install the ROM I got the error 7 or whatever, searched and people say open META blah blah and delete assert lines and this ROM did not have that, rebooted phone without flashing anything, I still have root but lost unlocked bootloader, ran pwnage tool and no go for unlocking bootloader.

Any ideas?

You should not have lost CWM just trying to flash a rom. If you have root, try adb reboot recovery again and you should kick back in. If that's a no go, run the bootloader unlock tool again and get me a copy of the log so I can trouble shoot from there. Without that I'm flying blind as to what may be failing.

Ok. So I downloaded CWM and you were right; I had not lost unlocked bootloader. I downloaded the Icy Fusion ROM on my desktop and began to work on the phone from there. I successfully installed the Icy ROM and had it working. I could let leave well enough alone and tried to install cm11; I then tried to install a Gapps mini modular 4.4.4, cm11 took but Gapps did not, I rebooted and phone was stuck at LG after a loooong time I held the power button to reboot with no success... same thing happened... a few times... now I am thinking that I bricked it... used the LG updater tool to get it going again... funny thing when it started up was even though I had no root or unlocked bootloader I still had the sony xperia launcher. Anyway... I have regained root but when I try to unlock the bootloader the program says that the md5 failed. I downloaded from your server link in one of the forums. I tried this several times of downloading a couple different zipwares to unpack it.

Any ideas?

Well this morning I took it back where I started; my convertible tablet and the bootloader pwnage worked. Go figure. So all is well and for now I am running Icy v5.

Thank you Neph81 for being there for me and being willing to help.

The LG recovery tool does not remove any files you have installed, it just restore the system files back to stock. That is why you still have the xperia launcher.

As for CM11, or any kitkat and above roms, you need to grab an updated copy of CWM recovery. I would suggest this one http://androidfiles.massivefilehost.com/cwm_touch/CWM_6.0.4.5_Spec-Assert_fixed.zip . Just flash that in CWM, reboot a second time into recovery, and you should be good to go to flash CM11.

I'll still be around every couple of days if you have more questions.
