Help Unlocked Bootloader - Good or Bad?

The boot-loader on my N7 WiFi (2012) is currently unlocked. Before I go to the trouble of locking it, what are the pros and cons of leaving the boot-loader unlocked?

If you relock it will wipe your device clean. Just be aware of that.

If you relock it it will NOT wipe your device

It only wipes when you unlock


The pros of keeping it unlocked are having fastboot access to flash things through boot loader

There's really no reason to relock it
