Perhaps it's not the best place to ask, but perhaps my fellow Dream owners / friends can advise me to what's going on with my service.
I have flashed the phone to RC29, enabled Wifi so that I can register and use the phone; the phone is of course unlocked.
When I try to make a call, I get a voice recording saying to call 611 - ATT - about my service plan. Wtf?
This isn't an at&T phone, there is no service plans.. only a prepaid sim card from Global Telecom (Philippines). I've never experienced an issue when traveling that a person cannot use any given sim card in their phone, given that there is GSM service where they are. Usually roaming rates will hit that person.. but that's to be expected. This sim is an OWF, basically meaning the my pre-paid plan is explicitly for traveling. Globe has verified that the sim is in the database, active and they say my phone number is proper - I should have NO problem..
So in short - does anyone know why my phone would be forced into AT&T's network, thus rendering the phone virtually unusable for communication?
Thanks!
Btw: I'm in the US right now, which wasn't clear in my rant.
