I was just wondering...if I bought a Verizon phone, can it be unlocked and used for sprint?

I'm pretty sure you can't for any if the phones from the big V. They lock them to their network..

In Guam here, our local CDMA provider here, who apparently partners with Verizon, has various Droids in stock which they somehow manage to work on their network. Our CDMA carrier has also managed to work various Sprint phones on their network also. Right now I'm using an HTC Droid Incredible on their network. Before that, was a Droid Eris. But even before that was an HTC Touch Diamond, Sprint version.

I was assuming they were in usa but I guess its not good practice to assume

Sprint will not activate a non-branded phone on their network.
