Help unlocking a t-mobile galaxy portal

i was just wondering if anyone has has any experience with unlocking the i5700 and if so does the t-mobile version have any problem taking a sim card from the Three network?.

Once you have it unlocked it will take a sim card from anywhere.

i passed on a cheap portal earlier due to me thinking it wouldnt unlock to all networks. i thought t-mobile changed a few things?
