Unlocking Australian S2 in India

Hi!
I have bought a Samsung Galaxy s2 model GT-I9100T, Android version2.3.5, kernel version 2.6.35.7-I9100TDUKJ1-CL687461 root@DELL136#2
FROM Australia-Sydney
from a person under Vodafone Plan
but when given to me was said Unlocked.
I had used other sim Lebara and it had worked there.
But when I came India, it is not reading any Indian sim.
Please guide me how can I unlock it for using in India and
How can I upgrade it to version4.0.3
