Help Unlocking baseband

Hello,

I'm experiencing an issue with my Admire 4G (SCH-R820), I just brought it to my country from Brazil, and it doesn't accept my SIM card here. It just pops out a restricted circle sign. (Btw the original carrier of the phone is "Metro GSM")

I was wondering if there is a way to unlock the baseband, so it will be able to support my carrier here or maybe flash it with a new one?

not sure where you got the idea that this supported gsm, its a cdma only phone.
