Help unlocking Galaxy s5 without unlock code?

Hi I'm new to posting on fourms so if I break Protocol or etiquette Apologize in advance. I recently bought a samsung galaxy s5 from tmobile off of Craigslist only to find it was reported lost well I friend of mine told me if I can unlock the network I could use my cricket mobile sim with the phone still both are GSM my question is there anyway at all to unlock the phone without an unlock code? I don't want to pay for one as I am already out a lot of money because of the phone itself I am pretty ok at

If it's been reported lost or stolen, the only advice we can legally give is to hand it in to the police and report the
seller.
