Help Unlocking Phone with Unresponsive Display

Hi Friends,
My friend has the hub and has tried 5 different types of USB mouse. She has a USB wired mouse and several wireless mouse with adapters. None of them work. She can see my lock screen on the TV, but the mouse pointer won´t appear. How can she fix this? Thanks in advance! ;)

IF, she had Side Sync installed, she could unlock it from the PC...
if not, too late for that approach.

The big problem is, on the S5 at least, the USB port will not talk to you until after the screen is unlocked.
That means you must be able to use the touch screen to unlock the device.

If the touch screen part is unresponsive, she has a brick.

If there a way to work around this issue? without using a PC I mean ;)

Yes, take the phone apart, and install a new display.
several threads on here how to do it. I just don't have them bookmarked.
I called a local shop for my S4 and he quoted me $212 tax included to change the touchscreen out.

Hi, I told my friend what you wrote and she said that he already got a replacement phone that was a lot cheaper that replacing the phone, but was just looking to get her data from the old phone. I guess he lost everything, right?

1st, does he still have the old phone? if not, then the data is obviously lost.

2nd, if he still has the phone, is the data on the old phone worth the cost of replacing the display?
Sometimes, you just have to cut your losses and move on with life.

Yeah, I know what you mean. Thanks for your help.
