Unlocking with Fingerprint and On Body Detection

For some reason my Note 5 acts kinda erratic when I try to unlock the lock screen.

I have fingerprint enabled as well as the On Body Detection.

There seems to be no rhyme or reason at what point the phone lets my in by just swiping the screen ( in case I am wearing my phone in my holster) or when it asks me for fingerprint unlock. Neither seems to be working the way it should.

Is there a special way I should configure this ? Anyone else have this problem ?

I haven't enabled the on body detection but from what I saw it will leave your phone unlocked as long as it can tell it's on you.
It you sit it down it should lock, unless you have a location unlock specified as well.

I have my phone set to lock immediately if I press the power button. Do you have yours set that way, and are you pressing the power button.

I don't. I had the OBD on my Note 3 before and as long as it was in my holster (vertically) it remained unlocked. I just had to swipe the screen.
This Note 5 acts different. But not consistently enough that I could figure out when Fingerprint is needed and when not.
