Unread count icons that don't go anywhere

Hello all,

forgive me if this is in the wrong area. If it is, I have no problems with mods moving this post to where appropriate.

I have an HTC OneM8 that I'm customizing for myself using Nova Launcher and WidgetLocker for the lock screen. For security purposes I'm using invisible sliders so it's pretty tough for anyone else to figure out how to unlock my phone. My question has to do with displaying unread counts on the lock screen.

I know how to make shortcuts in WidgetLocker and display the unread counts... that's no problem. My question is - can I just display an unclickable icon with an unread count for a specific app, without actually creating a shortcut or app launcher out of it? Like I said earlier, I want my phone to be secure so I'm using invisible sliders, but I still want to see my unread counts for certain email accounts, sms, missed calls etc, I just don't want the icons to be clickable.

Any idea if this is possible or how to do it?

Nevermind... I've been staring it right in the face for two hours...

Long clicking the icon in the setup screen gives the option to block clicks... fyi
