Root unroot for gingerbread?

if i update droid 2 to gingerbread, would i have to unroot my phone and uninstall fission?

Fission is no longer supported. That said, you need to SBF back to stock to accept the update.

There is a thread on it...rsd lite, moto drivers and SBF image. XP or 7 and u can use Linux but good luck.
