someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I used SuperOneClick to root my phone, I believe it has an unroot option in it, in case you ever wanted to unroot it. maybe try there?
This website may be able to help you out if you decide to use SuperOneClick
I can confirm that using Gingerbreak's 1.2 APK works with unrooting, I tried it, then tested the Blizzard Battle.net Mobile Authenticator for a "rooted" message and said message didn't show up![]()
I believe its 'unrootable' with the newest GB, I hear people are reporting its possible, have you tried going into GB and clicking the Attempt to UnRoot?
Why Unroot in the first place?![]()
Sorrey for the lapse within the times of my posting. life has been... chaotic. anyways, when I tried to unroot with SuperOneClick, I ended up having to facotry reset my phone, so I wouldn't recommend using it to root or unroot your phone. When I used GingerBreak and installed it on my phone, it did things very user friendly. there was a button to root and one to unroot, and both worked perfectly.
If you google "gingerbreak" you will see the first link is to the xda-developers website, and there is a download, but please make sure that you read all of the info before downloading gingerbreak, just as a forewarning.
Hope this helps!

Buyer insists that it not be rooted. Huh. If he wants a clean one that badly, then go get one from Metro. Having this phone unrooted is the dumbest thing I've heard. I would decline the sell, there's no stable root option as of yet.I selling it and the buyer insists that the phone not be rooted. I rooted the phone using SuperOneClick but I not sure if its unrootable
GingerBreak bricked my friend's 'homegirl's phone and now is using a Huawei Pinnicale. There's no surefire way since you used SuperOneClick, if it has an unrooting option, try that first. Using two Rooting apps can make permanent problems. Thanks for your reply Derek. I have already rooted my phone using SuperOneClick months back. Could I reroot the phone using gingerbreak since unrooting with SuperOneClick have dire consequences? I really need to unroot my Huawei m835.
