Root unrooting for warranty claim

i have lg optimus me(p350) unrooted.firstly tell me will i be able to reclaim warranty by just just unrooting if i have not flashed any new rom.

secondly, what are the advantages of just rooting ie without flashing new rom. will i be able to overclock and underclock.
