Help Unrooting, reseting phone

eyeldham

Newbie
I rooted my wife's Samsung Galaxy Ace and installed the super user app and partioned the SD card to try and improve phones performance.

Gave up trying to improve phone so now got Google Nexus instead.

I have cleared the phone and factory reset it but want to remove the superuser app and make sure the phone is back to it's original state so I can sell it.

Can anyone help me please.

Ed

Look in the superuser menu. There's a "uninstall and remove all signs" item. Uninstall Busybox if you have it in there too.

Instead of all this, you can simply flash a stock samsung firmware via Odin. Do that and you are all set for selling the device.

Hello

That sounds a good idea but was does that mean in simple terms for a newbie? Where do I find this and flashing sounds painful - is it simple?

It doesn't work, I can go into Superuser but no option to do that to remove it. Going into managing the apps doesn't work either.

Maybe because phone has no SIM in it now and i did a factory reset as thought that would return phone to out of box status?
