Help Unsecured Wifi. How do I Secure it? Or Can I?

when I'm home and choose to use FoxFi instead of my wireless router, the connection is unsecured. Is there a way to secure it? I'm not sure if this is a result of updating FoxFi tonight or if it's always been that way. I don't have any particular reason to use it (vs my home wifi or 3G) but would like to know if I can secure it.

When you open your FoxFi app he first thing you see is enable hotspots, the name of your hotspots, and then security/password section right after one another. Give it a password and secure it. Also..I believe FoxFi recommends you give your hotspots a new name rather than the default name it shows.
