Hi agowins and welcome to Android Forums. It depends on the phone and rev of OS if you will have the ability to manage oem apps. Later revs will let you freeze an app.. taking it out of action.. but not delete. The only way to delete oem apps is to achieve root privileges. Let me know what phone you have and I can scoot this thread into your device discussion area where you will find the best support.
Yeah as olbriar said it's best not to delete the apps, freeze them instead and then if things don't work after you can unfreeze but I suppose the big question is which phone/tab you have as you'll need to root
Hello again agowins. I apologize for being so slow at returning to your thread. I regret that our Optimus Q area was closed for inactivity a number of month ago. Looking through the few archived threads from that area I was not able to find any information that might help you with your quest. There was a root area for the Q but the links are no longer valid for the less than robust support to begin with has faded as your phone has aged. I wish I had better news for you. I'm not familiar with your phone so I'm pretty much a dry source for support. I assume that your desire to remove some apps is to gain some internal storage. There are a few tricks you might try to gain some elbow room without removing some apps. Often the apps will store past operating information in a cache that can be cleared. That can gain you some space. You might also consider moving what you can to an external storage such as a SD card or even your PC. Archived texts and emails... especially attachments are something else you might consider cleaning up. I do wish I had more to offer you. Perhaps another of more cleverness will hop into this thread and lend some additional advice.
Moved to the Android Lounge based on olbriars research about his device forum being archived.
Hopefully some others will see this and offer some advice
