Over the past week or so I've started receiving text messages about dating websites to free gift cards. Has anyone else experienced this issue? I've been with Metro PCS for several years now and never had this happen unless the messages came from Metro. I haven't signed up to anything recently and don't give my number out unless it's necessary. I'm not sure what to do since there is no telephone number associated with the messages, other than it looks like it was sent from Metro PCS. Apparently, replying with STOP does nothing. I really don't enjoy being woken up at 2 in the morning from a text message about a free Wal Mart gift card.

Same thing. Have had Metro PCS for years, no text spam. For the past month or so, tons of it, day and night. Today Metro sent me an unsolicited text reminding me of the Metro Block It service for $1 a month. Come on Metro! Do they think they are being sly? I refuse to sign up just because I refuse to reward shady tactics.
