Root update 98.72.165.en.us keeps failing.

I had been avoiding this update because I didn't want to deal with Rooting again. I finally had the time and the update failed. I cleared the cache and re-downloaded the file but it still fails. Anyone had this problem? I did a search but did not find anything. I guess I can keep declining the prompt to install but it is getting old. Any help appreciated. Thank in advance!

I assume you are root-ed ... correct? If so I will move this thread to the sub-forum where root-ed versions of this phone are discussed.

I have the same problem on my razr. I have unrooted the phone and completed a factory reset on the phone and still no luck.

When you say you unrooted, do you mean you just uninstalled it? That doesn't work. The OTA senses the system has been modified and the only way to remove that "flag", is you have to flash it back to stock, period.

You'll have to obtain the correct FXZ for your phone. You can get them here:

Thread moved to area where root-related subjects are discussed. This includes the implications of returning from a root-ed device to an un-root-ed device.
