Help update firmware issue

Im having a similar issue. I can only load into odin mode on my sgs2 (SPH-d710) otherwise it says firmware upgrade encountered an issue, select recovery mode in kies. Well now my computer wont even recognize my phone thru any of the USB ports it just says unidentified device. Odin on the PC will recognize it
0:[COM4] in the yellow box but trying to flash back to stock rom nothing is working.

tried various versions of odin and kernels and PIT files. cant seem to get anyhting to work.... :(
 
Did you load the update to your SD card? You have to update from external storage. Let it follow through the install, then do another restart....and choose reboot system now option.
 
No i couldnt get it ont my sd card becuase the only menu i could get into was the download mode. once i disconnected and rebooted the phone (battery pull) it no longer turned on and only the blue light comes on.

Sorry to hear, black screen + blue light normally means a brick.
 
Do you have a computer with Kies loaded on it? Hook up your phone with USB cord and download the update to the SD card if you can.
