Update for Facebook for Android?

Does anyone know if there is an update that is to be delivered for the Facebook for Android app? I'm talking about the official one, not third party. Because frankly, the app sucks right now.

I think the Dev has sort of left the Facebook for android app {Improvements not bugs that is} and been focussing on the facebook integrated into 2.0??

There is, but it takes you only a minute or two before you're on the market looking for a third-party app.

There is no official Facebook app for Android - at least, that is to say, there is no app developed directly by Facebook. The Facebook app that comes with the Droid was developed by Google.
