Root Update for fierce 2?

Hello all.

I've had the fierce 2 for a while now, and I don't have many complaints.

Recently, I figured out how to root.

Unfortunately, rooting has taken away my ability to use system updates.

To anyone using the fierce 2 who has recently installed the software update that came out around early July;

What is the update for?

Is it an upgrade to lollipop?

And if the update is worth my time, how could I get around the fact that updates have been disabled due to my root?

I am currently looking for the recent update (or recent updates, for that matter) because I have also rooted mine, and cannot update. I have a 7040N and have had increasingly spotty coverage with MetroPCS since the update. I was hoping the update would fix that, but I haven't had any luck finding any updates that work on the 7040N (I found one for the 7040T [17001] that did not work with my device, however the test file did work). If anyone has update 15001/newer, or can somehow obtain it, I would be grateful if you were to share it.
