Help Update Google Play Services - not sure what to do?

Hi folks

Can you please help with an issue that I can't seem to solve?

My Galaxy S7 Edge has recently started requiring me to update Google Play Services. Initially it was only on certain apps, but as I was experimenting with possible solutions (including deleting several accounts I have connected with my phone), the problem has become more wide spread.

I have 4 accounts on my phone.

When I load an app - for example Gmail - I get the following message:

Update Google Play Services
Gmail won't run unless you update Google Play Services

When I go into the Play store, I attempt to find GPS in my installed apps. Under the Installed tab I see "Authentication is required. You need to sign into your Google Account" and a grey RETRY button.

I don't know where to sign into my account. Could you please tell me where to do that? As far as I am concerned I *am* signed in to all 4 accounts on my phone..

Thanks
Chris
