Update of Samsung Tab 2 10.1 v 4.2.2

Bare with me please .... I'm new to this ....
Have old Tab 2 10.1 v. 4.2.2 OS .... if I re-root this unit what is the latest/greatest version OS I can upgrade it to? ....
Or is there a better way to upgrade/improve speed and ability to receive WIFI signals .... currently drops in home WIFI signal .... sometimes when I'm w/i 10' of router ....

Sorry to jump onto your thread but I have a similar issue. I have the Tab 2 P3110 7inch which is currently on version 4.2. I am handing this down to my daughter so she can watch 1 app - which happens to need version 4.4 or newer. TYPICAL!!!

All the searching I have done on the internet provides guides which contain dead links to the software required to update the version. I assume the process will be the same for your tab and mine so hopefully somone will be able to provide us with a guid and live links for us to do this.

No problem CJ .... actually improving speed and solving dropped connection problem are more important to me than newer version OS than 4.2.2 .... but newer OS would certainly be nice .... just have a couple of simple tasks I'd like it to do which can be done with 4.2.2 ....at least at present ....
