Update on update 2

Received some emails back today to share:

From HTC director of product management

We are targeting to have it launched by end of the Month

We are always happy to assist you with any question that you may have
regarding your Kit Kat upgrade.

Upgrade OS to KitKat (version 4.4.2) and HTC Sense 5.5 date is mark as
CTD (To Be Determined). An issue that is still awaiting a final decision
or resolution.

Sounds like conflicting info to me?

They have given us more than 3 wrong dates. We kinda came to the conclusion that were probably not getting the update....

HTC has done their part in producing the update. It seems more and more obvious that it's VM that is dragging their feet. Notably, we still don't have any idea whether or not the update fixes our one significant problem - the one-speaker intermittently failing. If I had reason to believe that it would, I'd pester VM relentlessly - with the help of a few hundred forum friends - until the update got released.
