Hi there and welcome to Android Forums!
If you go to your phone settings, then to 'About', then to 'Software Update', it should tell you if an update is available from your carrier. if it isn't, the only other way is by rooting and flashing a new ROM onto the device and for that I would recommend joining the forums and doing some research before hand.
