Updated my Streak to Official 2.1 this morning

Imaine my joy this morning as I was listening to music on my Streak to recieve a notification that 2.1 had been officially released from O2 and was available to download.
Instillation was a success HOWEVER it resets EVERYTHING (as far as I know). You will need to make a list of all your programs you downloaded and back up your messages if you want to keep them.

Yeah i only lost my messages and apps, but you can re download them really quickly. Though anoyingly i cant play half my music as there .wma files and dont seem to be supported on the phone anymore, and im not overly fond of this keyboard, its not as responsive i've found =/

And it seems to delete all of your contacts...f*****g great, I just hope I can recover them from my computer. Other than that though, it seems to be a lot more responsive/smooth. Also, the keyboard seem to be better as well. I no longer press the space bar when I am trying to press letters z to m.

Yeah, you are right. It took like half an hour and they just seemed to have appeared. Good job because I didnt have a backup of them.

What I really dislike about this new update is the way it now unlocks. Now, I don't have a problem with sliding it upwards despite the fact it can sometimes be unresponsive. The main problem is that when I am listening to music with my ear phones the phone will not unlock. When I try to drag the slider up it goes half way then just jumps back down to the bottom. The only way around this is to unplug my ear phones (Which stops your music) and then it will allow you to unlock it.

Has anyone else experienced this or knows a solution to this?

I havent experienced that, but my unlockbar has been quite unresponsive at times continually doing that. Also i've found the keyboard a pain too, it'll type other letters around the letter i want, or not even respond at all sometimes, i found it much easier to type with the old keyboard =/

I'm seriously considering going back to 1.6. That sliding issue is really pissing me off now lol. I hope 2.2 will have dramatic improvements.

I share your pain with the keyboard also, I seem to miss-press letters quite often but I'm not sure if that's just because I'm not used to it or what.
