Moto g7 power

Hardware version : PVT1

Model Number: XT1955-5

Build Number : QPO030.85-18

Software Channel : Comcast

Sim Status : Connected/In Service

Network : Xfinity Mobile

Mobile voice/data nework type: LTE

Since taking the upgrade a couple of days ago I no longer have wifi access. I have a "not in range" nag when trying to connect and my xfinity modem is about 3 foot from my phone.

The wifi works fine on my lapttop and my streaming device, just my phone is having issues.

I have tried adding my credentials manually, resetting the xfinity modem and resetting the phone connection.

The phone works otherwise, getting email and voice/text appear to be working fine.

Really do not want to roll back the update, afraid of getting in deeper water than I am in now.

Any suggestions ?

You received a MAJOR system update, therefore EVERYTHING changed so I very much recommend a factory reset. Tbh, ANYTIME you receive a complete OS upgrade, you should do a factory reset. 99% probability it will fix your problem as it wipes away any leftover files that can cause conflicts.

Thnkx for the replies, I went after the provider instead of the phone after my post, and while this may not fix everyone it did fix mine.

Deleted all wifi connections on phone.

Got to xfinity and wipe the wifi to default/new settings.

Re-enter new info for wifi including a new connection name and password.

Phone picked it up automatically, as did the lappy and the streaming box !

Happy Camper again !

Might be a bit soon to ask, any other observations since the upgrade ?
I got the offer yesterday, turned it down for now.
My inclination is to avoid it if possible

The overall cold boot up time seems to be longer now, and the screen background image selections are all different, other than that I am having no issues so far.

Just now discovered one other major change, I no longer have the option to turn off my transmitted caller id !

The icon that used to be there for the option is gone.

Anyone got a suggestion for restoring it ?

TIA
