Updating Android studio to 3.6.2 didn't work

clicked Platform and plugin updates on android studio 2.1.1.
Downloaded everything
Restarted but still
About>android studio version 2.1.1

Is there something extra I need to do to update to version 3.6.2? Thanks in advance

I updated my Android Studio to V3.6.2 this week. It works well till now.
Just go to 'Help - Check for updates'.

If it will not work yet, you can download the setup package for the latest and stable version, V3.6.2, from the official website. And then run the setup to update your AS V2.1.1.
