Updating my htc deisire c

[Android Question]

i have an htc desire c .i want to update it to android 4.2 or above.in the beginning the software updates used to come, but now its also not coming.if i update the phone through the notification, only the mobile version gets updated and not the android..
i need a immediate help.
the phone completly slow... !!!!
