I have an HTC Droid Eris. Is it still required to manually update PRLs? With all the fancy OTA stuff now, it should just automagically happen. Anyone have any info or feedback on this? Can't it just be pushed out?
Is there some site we can check to see if there's a new PRL? Is it region-specific? Is it just something we should do each month to keep things updated? Thanks for the info!
The thread I found that link in says that the info is updated regularly.
UPDATE: I was looking around and it seems they've restructured, but the person that posted PRLs in that thread might be able to point you to what you're looking for.
The main Verizon forum at Howard Forums always has a sticky post with the date of the last prl update. When a new prl is released there is a new stickied post within a day or so.
Just dial *228 and select option 2 and this will update your PRL. The preferred roaming list will not improve your signal or anything like that. It just gives priority for one carrier's towers over another carrier when there are multiple choices for towers available.
