Help upgrade att s3 to 4.2

When I try to upgrade through settings it doesn't find the update. What can I do to resolve this I'm on ics and want jellybean. Just got this phone used and want to reset and update how do I'm go about this.

Look on SamMobile Firmwares for your phone model NUMBER's 4.2 for your country/carrier. (If you're not using it on the carrier it was sold for, you'll have a problem if the firmware was modified to be used on a different carrier.)

Just to point out 4.2 was never officially released on the S3 IIRC. You sure the firmware isn't 4.1 or greater?? I didn't think any S3's out there would be running less now (unless by choice)
