Upgrade coming

My upgrade is coming up in feb, and I'm really liking the bionic...i don't really keep up with the announced but not yet out stuff, so are there any other phones coming out that are interesting?

Welcome to the forums Tom.

I'll be honest your question sounded like a "Troll", being as so much is going on with Verizon this month. The Razr came out last week, the Rezound comes out tomorrow, and the Galaxy Nexus comes out sometime soon (release date not nailed down yet). The Bionic is a great phone too.

Since you can't upgrade till February you have the benefit of waiting to see if any quad core phones will be available Q1 2012. If not, any of the 4 phones listed above are great Android phones. Just visit their respective forums here at AndroidForums to read about and ask questions about each.

Thanks for the reply. It wasn't my intention to sound trollish lol...i really understand how everyone wants to kill trolls :D I am however not one, just uninformed...and don't know what other sites to trust for cell phone info. I didn't know about the other phones, only know about the bionic cuz a friend of mine got one and i'm kinda diggin it.

As for the stuff happening at verizon, other than the data pack changes, what did I miss the memo on??

Just the 3 new smartphones coming out this month is really all that's going on at Verizon.

Yes, if you don't currently have unlimited smartphone data, you'll have to sign up with one of the new smartphone data plans if you upgrade to a 4G device. But I saw in another thread that you have a family plan with 3 $29 data plans. If those are unlimited data for smartphones they will be grandfathered into unlimited 4G data when you upgrade to a 4G device. Unless your phone is the one carrying the $10 for 75Mb plan. Then you might call Verizon and ask for unlimited since you have 3 other data plans on the account. They might upgrade you to unlimited 4G. Not sure, but it's always worth a try.
