Help upgrade from 1.6

you cant do that currently but the devs over at xda developers are working on a custom bootloader which will enable you to put froyo on your device. Its going to take a while though.
 
Yup, Q3, so any day now....or the last day *sigh*. They did say late Q3, so, probably not any day but, we can hope :p. I can't wait till it's released :). Idk if it will really make that much of a difference but, I want it, I'd prefer 2.2 :p. Only because it's newer. I doubt I'd use the new features on either lol but, more apps is good :).
 
3rd and 4th quarter of the year, so basically seasons. 1st is spring, 2nd is summer, 3rd is autumn and 4th is winter

i hav bin browsing around the forum and it looks like a very handy site with some very good advise,

i too am new to the android and like the xperia x10 i had one giving to me from a family member, couple of issues i have found is, the batt is really bad, camera seems to reboot the hadset when trying to use it sometimes,

i have the R1FA016 build and tried to update using both forms off update but still tells me im up to date, i completely wiped it and started from scratch re-installing the software from the SE site and it still put the R1FA016 back on,

the handset was on o2 but unlocked but im using it with a 3 sim, Can anyone please help me with this as id like to sort out some of the little issues,

Im no expert here, and this is Just My guess..
But when the R2 update came out, it did it in stages, so Different Networks got it at different times. Therefore the update must vary between networks, i believe this was because SE sent it to them, and allowed them to add their stuff, and it was sent by the network. So maybe as its unlocked it cant tell what network your on, or, 3 havent sent the update yet..
 
Even though it's unlocked, it may still be O2 branded, in which case, O2 havent approved the update yet and SE are awaiting for them to do so. I believe Three also havent :|.
 
ok cheers guys, that makes sense, i have seen a few people saying that they are on 02 and havent had it,

is there any way of me de-branding it from 02 guys ?
