Upgrade GW620 to 2.2?

Hi all,

I have an LG-GW620 that I just start using. I used WinMo phones before, and wanted to switch to Android. Started with a basic one to experiment with before hopefully getting an HTC.

Anyway, my question is pretty simple, although I am sure the answer is not? Is there any way to upgrade to 2.2? I have played a lot with winMo and don't mind very complicated procedures, as long as they are detailed.

I am a completel n00b on Android

FYI : I bought the LG GW-620 in France with SFR, and since then moved to Montreal and am using it with Fido. I updated using the LGMobileUpdate.

Follow the OpenEtna project OpenEtna - they have 2.1 running on the device and will hopefully have 2.2 at some point in the future.

Be sure to have Java installed on your computer before you start and put the phone in USB Debugging mode (Settings, Applications, Development)
