On your Windows computer, download PC Companion from Sony.

Install.

Follow instructions.

Do a backup/sync your contacts and backup your files/pictures before you 'upgrade'

Hopefully your mobile provider has released 2.3 for their customers.

im needing to do the same thing, 2.1 want use voice command, so i cant use my bluetooth headset on my motorcycle. im using att and companion says I have the latest update, how can i get 2.3?

On AT&T....you can't. The are one of the only companies that has actually prevented their users from updating, they they wont let users update unless you flash it yourself using other software.

If the built in one in 2.1 doesn't work...you guys try:

Not sure exactly what you are trying to do or having problems with.

All I know is you both seem to have motorcycles and bluetooth and are having problems with voicedialing.

I just tried it on my Blue ant x3 micro ear bud too, same thing. so its in the bluetooth settings, im going to att today and see what they have to say, thanks

att cant do anything, so can I do something to this phone to be able to install 2.2 or do I need to get another phone?
