Upgrade Time.

Im due my upgrade at the end of next month and after a lot of research,I think I've finally decided on the 6P. I need a big screen as I watch a lot of media and good battery life is also a must. I can aqueeze 3 hours SOT from my S4 ( replacement warranty 6 month old ) if I'm careful.
Is the battery on the 6P is as good as I'm told? I just want to unplug at 7.00 am and plug back in about 9.00pm . Is this too much to ask?

My s4 with an ectended 6000mah battery gives me about 6 hours SOT. ( Ugly as sin though )

Thanks guys. :)

Congrats on your choice of upgrade, my only advice to you if your on a budget for a 6P, for $50.00 more bucks get the 64GB. That's if your on a budget.

Ordered it within minutes of release and it hasnt left me wanting another device.

Marshmallow gave us Doze mode, which means the phone sips battery when not in use. This will only get better with the improvements to Doze in android N (likely coming out towards the end of the summer). Battery life is good, and can even be improved upon a bit with a custom kernel. With that said, a low radio signal will kill any battery, so your milage may vary depending on your local network.

You'll probably notice a pretty big speed boost coming from the s4.

I tend to take my 6p off the charger at 6am, and when I plug it back in around 9-10pm I have between 10-20% battery left. That's with occasional gaming and fairly frequent texting over the course of the day, with 3-4 hours of local music and podcast playback. However, I am in an area where I have pretty much full cell signal all the time.
