Upgrade to Droid X

So I understand that Verizon will offer the Droid X at the Upgrade price to anyone with a Upgrade in 2010. Mine is in November. I wold like to go from Droid to Droid X. However, I would only do it if my Droid was worth enough on eBay to cover the costs. So far it is with 50 bucks pocketed. My question is, will my ESN be clean if I take the early upgrade option? Or will Verizon lock out my ESN, preventing me from selling the Droid at full price? I know normally after an upgrade they don't do that, but since this is a special upgrade, I thought they might block them. Thanks.
 
I am thinking about doing the same thing with my Droid Incredible, however, my 1 year is up 2/2011, so I am outside the 2010 window. I wonder if Verizon will stretch a little bit on this?

I am having no luck with Verizon stretching my upgrade date. I have called multiple times to no avail, my upgrade date is Jan 16th, 2011 and they wont budge at all. Let me know if you have better luck.
 
My contract on my droid expires on November 19th, 2010. I wonder if you can get the early upgrade and get it on a 1 year contract. if not, i can get an upgrade on 9/19/10 due to being eligable to upgrade after 10 months on a 1 year contract or I could use my fiances upgrade on my line.

Haha. No. They use their upgrades as well. Just not often. One of the lines is My grandparents, and I don't like when they get a new phone because they dont know how to use it. So I just use theirs.

My line is due for an upgrade this November. I buddy upgraded to the Droid using another line.
 
I'm eligible for an upgrade right now.. I used a buddy upgrade to get my Droid. But I'm not sure if I want the X or hold out till this fall, when usually alot of great phones drop..

Seeings how the iPhone has been more or less 'confirmed' for Verizon this January, I may just wait. I love my Droid, but I love my iPod touch a little more. And I want to combine the two into one device, and there is no way I am giving up my 150+ Apps in iOS.
