Upgrade

Being new to Android I just encountered my first update to the OS. Mine will go from 8.0.0 to 9.0 when it is deployed. From what I have gathered it appears to be sporadic on who gets the upgrade. Can someone enlighten me on how the upgrades work?

Over the air upgrade like offical upgrade from manufacturers
or just use a custom rom to flash in your phone

Thank you for enlightening me. Guess I will just keep what I have as I have read that the upgrade will not be available for my unit.

which phone are u upgrading to first and why need to upgrade the rom . because users upgrade rom and complaisn of bugs and here so if you upgrade can you fix bugs and the phone name

I upgraded to a MOTO e5 Plus and will keep everything as when I received it one week ago. I guess I am tired of trying to stay up with the upgrades and fixes... I just want a phone to use in case of an emergency.

Over the air, or wifi, you can upgrade it easy on any type of phone you have.

u can upgrade just search the custom rom .xip and know how to root and flash the custom recovery .NOTE remember to backup your phone

Thank you for this information. After using computer from their beginning I think I have had enough. I just started looking into cell phones mostly for emergencies. Reading your comments would mean that I have a lot, I mean a lot, of self education before I attempt any upgrades. As I mentioned I have been into computers from their very beginning so I can handle most of what is out there in order to keep my equipment up to date. Venturing into the cell phone .xip, root and flashing the custom recovery is above my pay grade as the ole saying goes. I will educate myself but just for something to do.
