Android Expert
I have a Samsung Infuse with Android 2.3.6.

I have periodically used use the MYAT&T App to check data usage for the various phones on my account.

While reviewing my list of Apps to be updated on Google Play, one of the updates waiting for me was the MYAT&T program... so I installed the update.

Upon launching the new MYAT&T program, it says "please upgrade your operating system to Android 4.0". Are you kidding me?

Now I can't go back to the old app and can't run the new App. WTF... why did it let me install a program that isn't compatible?

D'oh! Good one AT&T.......

I always thought that the Google Play store wasn't supposed to let you change or download an App that was incompatible with your phone. I'd call AT&T and see WTF is going on with them. And see if they'll send you an old version of the APK for My Att. Also, have you checked Kies on your computer to see if there's an OS upgrade for your phone?

Not every program gives an "uninstall update" option.
Most (including MYAT&T) have only "uninstall" option.
I think mostly Google Apps have the "uninstall update" option.
At least that's how it seems on my 2.3.7 phone

At any rate, problem is solved.
AT&T woke up and issued yet another update:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.att.myWireless
What's New...
Fixed versioning issue preventing access to the previous app for 2.1 & 2.3 versions of the OS....
That's policitcal speak for "fixed the screwup we caused in the last update"
