upgraded version 4.1.2 causes problems to S3

My Samsung S3, model GT19300, is having a really irritating problem after I upgraded it to 4.1.2. Jelly bean from the original ice cream sandwich version. This msg : 'unfortunately the process Android . process. media has stopped' , keeps on appearing every now and then. Also, all the songs I I had are gone too. This happened only 2 days back.
Please acknowledge and give advice...

The process "Android.process.media" = Media Storage.
Go into: Settings > More > Application manager > All
scroll down to Media Storage
Press Clear cache and then Clear data
Reboot

This should resolve your problem, and since your songs are already gone, you have nothing to lose.
