Help Upgrades Android, GPS disappeared!

So I recently upgraded the OS/software on my XT910 to Android 4.1.2 and I noticed two major changes. First, the four buttons that sat conveniently at the top of my first screen (on/off switches for GPS, Bluetooth, Airplane Mode, and WiFi) disappeared and now I have to go to "Settings" to turn them on or off. That is, except for GPS, the switch for which has disappeared. Seriously, the phone has no GPS now as the function cannot be turned on and I can find no option anywhere to turn it on.

Help? Suggestions?

Yeah, go to the free smart phone class Verizon offers.

Just go to settings /location access

Go to your app screen and keep flipping until yo get to widgets.....you will find a widget called power control, touch hold and add to your home screen
