I have a 10.1 from 2013 running 4.1.2 of Jelly Bean. I want yo upgrade to a newer fersion of Android, but Samsung hasn't and won't make one available.
Is there any way to upgrade without replacing the device?

I am aware of its age but that doesn't answer my question. Can anything be done with the device I have today, or am I going to be limited to Jelly Bean until I replace it?

You might be able to update it further with a custom ROM, to 4.4.x Kitkat, maybe even 5.x Lollipop. AF does have a forum for this device somewhere, but I can't find it at the moment from my phone.

Hi,

Here is where you will find the information you need. I didn't read through in detail but there were some posts referring to a Nougat beta ROM for your device. There was also a link to the official kit kat (4.4.2) release from Samsung. Have a read through and see if you want to proceed.

Regards,
Eric.
