Upgrading SD card to 32 GB

Upgrading my S3 with a 16 GB SD card to a new 32 GB one. What is the best way to do this without having to start from scratch?

What I plan on doing is removing SD card from phone and using pc moving files from the old 16 GB one to the new 32 GB one and then installing the larger SD card into the phone. Should that work or is there any hidden gotchas with the technique?

You may want to use your phone to format the card before you transfer the files.

I had thought of doing that as well. Was slightly concerned how phone(Apps) might function with old card removed while formatting new card. But don't really see that as an issue.

Dont forget to ensure your pc has "show hidden files" enabled so you can see and copy those too.
