Help upgrading to android 2.0

I currently have android 1.5 installed on my HTC magic and I would like to upgrade to either 1.6 or 2.0 but I am unable to find any instructions on how I am supposed to be upgrading.

Are there any specific steps that need to be taken?

Are you on Vodafone in the UK? I don't know about other network providers in other countries but here in the UK you will get an update to install 1.6 over the air.

I got mine from Germany (also Vodaphone) and got 1.6 last weekend as system update.

Just do a manual upgrade....

Whenever OTA upgrades are released it only takes a short amount of time before you're able to download and manually install exactly the same update.
