Upgrading to HTC Incredible

Hello all! newbie here. Thought this would be the best place to ask this question...my 2 year contract is up in June, and I am eligible for an upgrade from my LG Venus. I was wondering, since I have another person on my plan, do I have to wait until June to get a new contract when she won't be on it anymore or can I sign a new one now, get the Incredible and wait for June for her to be off? i'm thinking she would be on the new one but I thought I would ask here first before calling Verizon.

Each number on your plan is "separated" so you can upgrade your phone and plan without affecting her service.
