Upscaling memory

Anybody tried transferring a load of data [like 120Gb] from one MicroSD to another bigger one [256Gb]? I've no idea how I'd try to do that in an efficient way with just an Android phone and Macs.

A couple of months ago I did just that, copied data from an almost full 128GB micro-SD to a new 256GB one using a MacBook Air. MacBook has a card slot, and I plugged a USB card reader in, and then copied all the data from one micro-SD to the new using using the Finder. It took a couple of hours though.

If your phone has USB OTG, you could copy all data to the new SD using that with a USB card reader.

Thanks for that. I have actually tried the first. But the Mac would never read the microSD. I need to try again if you got it to work. Frankly, it should work just as well with an ordinary card reader of which I have several round the place plugged into the Mac. I just never got it to work.

I was hoping to use this method to do backups but always failed.

I regularly plug a USB/OTG adaptor into phones (including this one) and then copy across but the data takes forever to write to USB.
