Help Upside Down Key?!?

Hi All,

Trying to see if this is a large factory defect or if it's just my phone. I just realized that my S key is upside down! It's hard to tell as S looks similar both ways but it's clear that it is in fact upside down, the top loop is bigger, and the alignment is off with the rest of the keys. Looking at the key upside down makes it more obvious that the S key is upside down.


Can people with their Droid 4 check this closely? I'm positive mine is wrong and debating if I'm contacting Motorola or Verizon over it.

Just looked at my son's KB. I see what you are saying but don't think it's upside down. I think it is not centered on the key so looks odd. The L (among others) looks funny too as it's way off center. It appears to the way it's supposed to be though.
 
I hadn't noticed it before, but I definitely see what you're saying. To me it looks like a combination of off-center and slightly italicized actually. Weird. But then again the 6 looks similar so maybe it's just the font they used.

Actually...now that I'm staring at the keys, it looks like the F key is actually higher than D and G as well.
 
Ha! You guys are silly. I see what you're saying...but it's not something I would've noticed without OP bringing it up. It does not bother me.

I doubt it was any kind of one-off production error since mine's the same way, as are the ones in several of the marketing and review pictures I was able to find. The A, S and D keys are sloped in a line, and Q, W and E follow the same line. The black rectangles aren't as nicely centered on those keys as they are on the others, so it might just be a problem with the silkscreening process.

You might also notice that the F and J keys have small reference bumps in their lower-right corners just like larger keyboards do.

I'm contacting Motorola over this. Ridiculous that the phone was postponed for months and they can't even get the keys right, makes me wonder what else they screwed up on
 
HAHA. Thanks OP for pointing out something I didn't notice, and now, thanks to my OCD, cannot stop staring at! My "S" also appears strange, possibly upside down. "F" is definitely off center. How did contacting Motorola go? I'm curious to know if they even cared lol. Update us!
