im wondering what the best phone usc has that is running android. also which one is good for all the other things you can do to a phone like mods or whatever they are called. something versatile in a lot of areas.

Honestly, I think you want to go with either the HTC Desire or the Samsung Mesmerize. Those are their top tier, and will give you the most "bang for your buck"...

Best out of the box is the Mesmerize. If are up for voiding your warranty and rooting, go for the Desire.
