US ICS Update

I have a theory. With this theory I turn to the internet where any crazy idea will gather followers.

I have a feeling that US owners won't see the ICS update until after the trial has moved forward to keep the Apple lawyers from saying, "Ah HA! You see Judge they're even trying to change the way their tablet looks while there is a case going on."

Thoughts?

I was in a target store yesterday and a wal-mart today.they had the nook and kindle.they didnt have the other android tablets as before.they had the ipad in the open.go figure

I think you are right. I am in the UK but have a US tab which i purchased on a business trip there. No sign of the ICS update here as yet and I have agree that i doub we will see it until the court case in the US has moved foward. Therefore I am not expecting to see it for the forseeable future.

Sorry, but your theory was one huge hole in it. The time period to introduce new evidence has already passed. Apple could not bring it up even if they wanted to.

OK, where is the US ICS update then? I believe you confuse what is shown to a jury as what is shown between the plaintiffs, defendants, and the judge as new evidence. If Samsung admitted guilt tomorrow those statements wouldn't be seen by a jury but they would be brought before the judge. Then the Apple lawyers would ask the judge to rule n their favor bypassing the jury. But that would require some idea of how the law works besides watching law and order.

Hasn't the UK update only been out for a couple of days? Jumping to conspiracy theories at this point is a bit premature. Big updates like this typically do not release all over the world at the same time. Don't worry until maybe a month has passed.

No, there is no confusion here. The legal system has rules and those rules have to be followed in order to ever get anything accomplished. If Apple were to go the judge with your claims above and Samsung found out then that would be legitimate grounds for a mistrial. My legal knowledge comes from my college education, not a tv show.

It is important to get through this phase of the trial as quickly as possible because I believe it is pretty well known that whatever the ruling it is just going to be appealed anyway.
